Wiz Khalifa takes viral jail selfie that broke the internet; Pleads guilty with misdemeanour and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia

Wiz Khalifa was arrested in Texas back in May 2014 when officials found out that he was carrying a gram of weed with him in his bag during an airport security check. He was then cuffed and accompanied to the nearest police station. He then took a selfie when that happened and everyone found it hilarious and bold.

Indeed, sitting around in cuffs waiting for some kind of deliberation might be really boring so the Pittsburgh rapper entertained himself and took a selfie that apparently went viral and undoubtedly annoyed the cops.

MTV reported that according to Wiz Khalifa, annoying the cops would not always get you in trouble. He is now off the hook after pleading guilty with his misdemeanour and carrying a gram of an illegal drug paraphernalia. It caused him $500 just to get out of jail then.

The arrest blew up on social media when the said selfie behind bars went viral that actually went on an internal investigation. According to TMZ, Wiz Khalifa became more famous for what happened in jail rather than what landed him there at the very first place. A small fine by the rapper was just enough to let of him behind the bars.

Billboard reported that it happened in El Paso International Airport. During that time, the Transportation Security Administration went to check him out and his possession to see if it was really a marijuana he was carrying. It turned out right Cameron Thomaz, Wiz Khalifa's real name, made headlines not only because he was a famous rapper got in jail but posted a selfie of him in it.

This was not the first time that the rapper got involved into something like this. In May 2012, police caught him with a marijuana following his performance at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem NC. Then a month prior to that he was also charged with illegal drug possession of the same drug in Nashville, Tennessee.
