The well-loved Pokemons will be back in the big screen as a new Pokemon movie is set to be released. A huge war between legendary Pokemons might reportedly ensue in Pokemon the Movie XY. The movie rumored to be released in Cartoon Network later this year.

The latest film in the Pokemon franchise, Pokémon the Movie XY: Ring no Chōmajin Hoopa, which has been translated as 'Ring Genie Hoopa' will soon hit theaters in Japan. Epic action between Pokemons is expected as many of them, from different generations, will reportedly go on a massive war against each other. Lugia, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus are the ones expected to fight.

Meanwhile, as the title suggest, the movie will reportedly include a legendary Pokemon, Hoopa, who has powerful rings that enables it to summon anything it wishes. Although Hoopa is the main character in the upcoming film, nothing has been confirmed yet as to the role it will play in the story, as the plot hasn't been revealed.

Aside from them, fans' favorite Pokemons will also be in the movie, as the cast includes Pikachu, Meowth, Dedenne, Yancham (Pancham), Tairenar (Braixen), Gekogashira (Frogadier), Harimaron (Chespin), Luchabull (Hawlucha), Horubii (Bunnelby), Rentorar (Luxray), Hinoyakoma (Fletchinder), Onbat (Noibat), Sōnasu (Wobbuffet), Maaiika (Inkay), Pumpjin (Gourgeist), Kabigon (Snorlax), Gothimu (Gothita), and Florges.

The movie's release in Japan has been ensured, but pertaining to its release in the US, nothing has been confirmed yet. Although there are rumors swirling around that it's English version, "Hoopa and the Clash of Ages" might be released in Cartoon Network later this year.

Pokémon the Movie XY: Ring no Chōmajin Hoopa is the 18th film in the Pokemon franchise. It is set to hit theaters in Japan this coming July. Its US release has not been confirmed yet, although many fans are hoping for it to arrive in theaters soon.
