iOS 8.4 public beta users are stumbling upon a sign up window for Apple Music two weeks ahead the service plan to go live. Correspondingly, ITunes Director Robert Kondrk has been destructively aiming for labels to release special content. The model would be analogous to that of Beyonce's vastly popular visual album discharged last year.
Late last year, Beyonce trickled her self-titled album on iTunes and made it an Apple exclusive for a week. Sold as a full album with 14 songs and 17 videos, "BEYONCE" has made over 800,000 copies globally in three days. Oddly, Kondrk asked to lock the individual track sales earlier for a matter of time, letting tracks to be bought individually, which makes the album accessible to streaming services, "The iTunes theory was that because of the easy availability to access albums on YouTube it has punctured sales globally for track and albums," an executive told Billboard.
However, Chairman of industry lobby group UK Music Andy Heath said, "If you are running a small label on tight margins you literally can't afford to do this free trial business," spotted on the Business Insider.
As a proof, the sign up procedure prompted spontaneously upon launching the music app. It seems incomplete with a boilerplate primer on the screen. Then there will be a preference for either a three-month free trial or you can disregard it which will launch the app's normal interface. Plumping for the trial version will progress to a plan where users can select an Individual or Family membership, identified in Apple Insider.
MacNN stated that Apple Music is not slated to go public until June 30. And Apple is planning to release the final version of iOS 8.4 by that time together with Mac and Windows iTunes updates. All of which are precisely envisioned to backup the Apple Music.
To get the complete access of Apple Music, Apple users must pay $9.99 per month individually, and around $14.99 per month for a plan with six members. Those who will refuse the subscription service can still access artist feeds from Beats 1 radio, iTunes Radio and Connect, detailed on the Apple website.
Apple Music is having the three-month trial period to attract users on top of its platform. This could be catastrophic for independent labels as they cannot afford to drop three months of profits.
