Is Half Life 3 still coming? Fake Website Reignites Hope Of A 3rd Installment

By

After several years of being in the shadows, Half Life 3 once again makes gamers hope once more for a third installment to the Half Life series because of the appearance of a logo for Half Life 3 while E3 2015 was happening. The website containing the logo however is nothing more than a fake website created by internet trolls. After learning this information, Half Life fans had feelings of disappointment but they gained a spark of hope that Half Life 3 is still coming.

Valve is quite well known and infamous for not making a third installment for its games like Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, and Portal. Half Life is also no exception. A website then emerged while E3 2015 was still happening. A website named "valve.software" had a logo of Half Life with a number 3. The site looked well made since it was enough to fool others and those desperate for a third Half Life installment. The site gave itself away because it was linked to the actual website of Valve which was "valvesoftware.com" and "steampowered.com". The website now says a reply from Valve saying: "Maybe Next Year"

After the release of Half Life 2 episode 2 last 2007, fans have been making discussions all over the internet and asking questions regarding the release date of Half Life 3. After a few years the fans then began to quiet down and lose hope for a Half Life 3 to be released. There was a small ray of hope for fans at least because Half Life 3 was allegedly being produced by small teams in Valve. The game was still in tiny bits and pieces so it was too far from being made into an actual game.

Half Life and Half Life 2 are first person shooter games that are part of the Half Life series divided into several chapters. It was developed by Valve Corporation and made available on Steam for the PC, Xbox 360, and other consoles. There is no confirmation yet if the third installment of Half Life will not be released.
