The teasing of the GTA 6 release, the most awaited sequel to replicate the whopping success of GTA 5 reportedly hitting $1B in posted earnings this year, has continued to spur online. This is amidst a slew of rumors and a new evidence linked to the development of GTA 5 Online Story DLC.
In earlier reports, an anonymous source who claimed to be a company insider purportedly revealed that GTA 6 will be featuring the famous Hollyowood actor, Ryan Gosling to play the protagonist role, who, in turn said yes to the project.
This unnamed leakster stated that the critically acclaimed games developer had tailor-made a protagonist role for Gosling that will take place in the 1980s setting. Nicholas Winding Refn's masterpiece, Drive, also reported to have tapped Ryan Gosling, was allegedly an inspiration from Rockstar's work with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
However, what could be more appealing to fans in general and add a breath of fresh air in the development of the next installment to the franchise is the wanted presence of a female lead character.
Two years ago, Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser shared with The Guardian that such idea had also crossed their minds to include a female lead in their succeeding titles saying, "In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course. We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things we always think about."
Game pundits opined that GTA 6 will be launched in 2018 considering the intervals of game deveopment in between sequels.
Meanwhile, the game's hardcore fans have also been watching out for the GTA 5 Online Story DLC and said that, Express Co.UK has reported a new evidence to support the fact that a new major content update is indeed under way.
Shawn Fonteno, the voice actor behind the in-game character of Franklin, and serves as a reliable source of details on previous entries, has again dropped hints to the delight of fans regarding an all-new Los Santos and Blaine County adventure.
Fonteno has shared a fresh image to his Instagram account where Franklin holding a gun appeared on the lookout outside an Ammunation Gun Store as his companion character, guessed to be CJ, is entering the store premises. Although, as of now, there is no solid clue that it is really CJ from GTA: San Andreas.
Moreover, he is said to have attached a caption to the photo: "COMING SOON."
With all these heaps of leaks and rumors to whet the appetite of the players who are looking forward to both a major update via GTA 5 Online Story DLC and the constantly teased GTA 6 release, Rockstar Games seems to be having a lot on their plate just to keep the gamers' interest in the franchise.
