A recently-uncovered easter egg in a gameplay demo for Uncharted 4 could potentially be hinting at the storyline direction of the upcoming game.
The easter egg pops up in a scene where a jeep is shown moving across the street. At the rear of the jeep, fans will see a license plate with "VN373" written on it. Diligent viewers will also note the presence of a scratch appearing across the middle of the "V" so that when turned upside down, it spells "ELENA," according to WCCF Tech.
Also appearing on the license plate is the picture of a fish with the letter "R" in the middle of it to spell the last name "Fisher."
If the name is unfamiliar, it doesn't figure to be for long, as it is the name of none other than Nathan Drake's wife. According to Twinfinite, Fisher actually makes an extended appearance in the same gameplay demo containing the easter egg. It is unknown just why Fisher is in Uncharted 4, but rumors making the rounds are suggesting that this is because Drake's better half is slated to be a signficant part of the game when it finally comes out.
In related news, Uncharted 4 didn't exactly wow the crowd at E3 when it was showcased, though it may not have been the game's fault.
According to Kotaku, a problem during the presentation phase for Uncharted 4 led to the footage onscreen during E3 showing nothing more than Nathan Drake standing still.
The problem resulted from the controller missing right off the bat and then it was later discovered that the Playstation 4 used during the presentation was malfunctioning. It was not until a new Playstation 4 was used that the demo was finally able to get underway.
Fans can only hope that after the delays that have led to Uncharted 4 failing to make it store shelves this year, that the game will be problem-free when it is finally released.
