‘House of Cards’ Season 4 Update: Frank to use Doug for dirty works; Kevin Spacey “don’t judge” the character he plays

By

Latest 'House of Cards' season 4 update reveal that as Claire left her husband, Doug is back on Frank's side. To his advantage, Frank will use him for his dirty works in the upcoming season. And, actor Kevin Spacey said in an interview that he does what his character should do.

'House of Cards' season 3 ended with Claire leaving President Frank Underwood, who was in the fight of his life to win the Democratic nomination. On the positive side, Doug (Michael Kelly) has returned to his side.

Hollywood Reporter reports that since Doug is back by Frank's side, Kelly is excited about the possibility of Frank being able to use him for his dirty work. In an interview, actor Michael Kelly said, "He's obviously far more efficient with Doug by his side. I can only hope that next season it'll bring more of a 'let's get some shit done."

While many questioned Frank's real identity-whether if he was good man who'd just been corrupted or not- actor Kevin Spacey pointed out that fans should not judge too early, IndieWire reports.

"I don't judge the characters I play," Spacey said at a FYC post-screening Q&A for 'House of Cards' last late April. "I also don't confuse the actor for doing something in a scene when it isn't me - it's the character I play. I get often people saying, 'How could you do that?' I didn't fucking do that. My character did that. Can you not see a difference? It's like when you used to hear that soap opera actors would get smacked by housewives about the way they were treating their wife or their girlfriend on the soap opera. And it's like, 'Fucking get a clue. We're actors. We're playing a part. It's not us.' Thank God."

Meanwhile, 'House of Cards' season 4 premiere date will be in line with the US presidential elections. MasterHerald notes that it will be an interesting coincidence to the US presidential elections around that time as well since the plot is metaphorically akin to the state of former First Lady Hillary Clinton running for the presidency, but not against her husband but someone else.
