"The Flash" is set to introduce new superheroes and villains to help Barry Allen face the villains appearing on CW's hit series. The newcomers will debut on the series' second season which will be 23-episode long.
Inquisitr reported that "The Flash" will see the transformation of Cisco Ramon, played by Carlos Valdes, into Vibe, a superhuman that can create shock waves, harness interdimensional travel abilities, and disrupt the Flash's Speed Force.
Firestorm, played by Robbie Amell, will also get longer appearances next season. Diehards of the show can remember that he helped Barry and Arrow face Reverse-Flash towards the end of the first season but did not really made a remarkable impact on the show.
The entry of new superheroes also marks the appearance of new villains. During the first season, Tom Cavanagh's Reverse-Flash made life miserable for Barry Allen but the new season will surely dig into the vault of villains of the Flash and attach them to the series.
What Culture noted that Savitar could be one of the antagonists of the Grant Gustin-led series since it involves the Speed Force mythos. He is one of the speedster as well who can create a force field around himself and was a test pilot who got his powers through lightning.
Another villain that got his powers from lightning is Cicada, whose backstory includes killing his wife before attempting to commit suicide. His plan was halted however when he gained a vision of living forever after he was struck by the lightning. His character idolizes the Flash but also kills every person that the superhero had saved and gets their life force.
These new superhero and villains will be joining the rest of the cast in an all new season with 23 episodes as per CW's order, reports Melty.
"The Flash" season 2 will get even more exciting with the new superheroes joining Barry Allen. Vibe and Firestorm are just two of the named superhuman that will face the villains, which could be the another speedster, Savitar, or Cicada, the archenemy that worships Grant Gustin's character.
"The Flash" season 2 premieres on CW this fall.
