A San Francisco based private investment firm, GC Capital has announced the acquisition of majority shareholdings in Med-Tech Resource. Med-Tech Resource supplies emergency personnel such as EMTs, firefighters, police officers and military units with emergency medical supplies and equipment for critical care purposes.
The founder of Med-Tech Resource, Michael Modrich would remain as President of the new company. This was the only term disclosed on the transaction. In a statement, he said, "I am pleased to have GC Capital as my new partner. They share our vision of growing Med-Tech while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Their operational and financial expertise will help us expand our product portfolio as we continue to serve our customers with high-quality products and service."
Med-Tech designs, manufactures and distributes first response emergency medical equipment and supplies, with a portfolio of over 20,000 high quality supplies for emergency medical intervention.
As for GC Capital, Greg Chiate, Partner for the firm summed it up the best, "Michael, along with the rest of his management team, built a strong and growing base business in the emergency medical supplies market.
