‘Ghostbusters 3’ spoilers: Chris Hemsworth to play sexy secretary; Ernie Hudson says sequel could never replace first 2 prequels

By

Chris Hemsworth will be one of the thorns among the roses in the female-led cast "Ghostbusters 3" as he plays as a receptionist. However, for Ernie Hudson, who starred in the original movie, the new film can never replace the previous male-led Ghostbusters.

While "Ghostbusters 3" this time will be composed of females, Vine Report quotes a source as saying that Chris Hemsworth will be the counterpart of the character of Janine played by Annie Potts in the 1984 "Ghostbusters". Hemsworth therefore will play the role of a sexy secretary.

WHO YOU GONNA CALL

Production for "Ghostbusters" is underway in Boston. In fact, photos from the set have made rounds again on the Internet showing Ghostbusters Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon in their ghost-busting outfits. The report added that one picture showed that the old Everett High School was changed and recreated to Bronx Kuyper Middle School which had banners of Higgins Science Institute.

Movie Pilot adds that the green ghost Slimer will still be the villain. Based on a script leak, the plot will focus on Wiig facing public mockery for her ghost conspiracy theory. However, she proves them wrong when she teams up with the rest of the girls to bust a ghost invasion in Manhattan and they turn out to be the world's heroes. Actress Miranda Hart is also expected to add humour to the movie.

MALE VS FEMALE

While there has been mixed reactions on an all-female Ghostbusters, some of the actors who starred in the previous films have positive comments about it. Franchise Herald says Dan Aykroyd who appeared in the two prequels, finds the reboot hot and thinks the girls are going to nail it. Ernie Hudson, who starred in the first movie, says the first two movies cannot be redone but says what is important is that the sequel will be a good and funny one.

Ghostbusters premieres on July 22, 2016.
