Taylor Swift Posting An Open Letter for Apple to Change Payment Policy; Request Granted

By

An open letter was written by Taylor Swift on June 21to Apple announcing that she will not be putting her new album "1989" on the company's newest streaming service. Her decision withholding her album to be played on Apple was because of the reports that the company is not paying artists for the music being consumed within the first 3-month free trial period. As TayTay is planning for a major modification for a big company's standards, her boyfriend Calvin Harris praised and supported her actions.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Taylor's open letter partly said: "'m sure you are aware that Apple Music will be offering a free 3 month trial to anyone who signs up for the service. I'm not sure you know that Apple Music will not be paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months. I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company."

On the other hand, TayTay's boyfie posted some words on his Twitter account for her on taking Apple, saying:" I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day" according to ETOnline.

Although it has only been seventeen hours after since the "Blankspace" hitmaker posted her open letter. Apple readily made a response for her plea, according to VanityFair. Apple's senior vice president of Internet Software and Services' Eddy Cue posted on his twitter that he and the CEO of Apple would be reversing their course. The company broke its news through twitter saying that they will be paying the artist within the 3-month free trial period. Eddy Cue also credited Taylor's Tumblr post with something to do about the sudden turnabout.

Taylor Swift also posted on her Twitter account saying, "I am elated and relieved. Thank you for your words of support today. They listened to us." Since everything went well with Taylor's plea to Apple, she just posted on her Twitter account on June 25, saying "After the events of this week, I've decided to put 1989 on Apple Music...and happily so."

With the results generated by Taylor Swift's moves, it simply indicated the singer's strong influence to the music industry.
