Dragon Dogma Online F2P First Closed Beta Runs July 7-15 for PS4, PS3, PC; Gameplay Details Revealed in New HD Screens

The free-to-play online action RPG, Dragon Dogma online, is officially releasing this coming August 31 in Japan, developer Capcom has announced.

According to Game Jouhou, more gameplay details for Dragon Dogma Online are expected to be unveiled during a recent event for the new title. Before the official game launching, the first closed beta test will be happening from July 7-15 for PS4, PS3, and PC platforms while the second closed beta follows on August 7 to 10. Reportedly, there are already more than 180,000 gamers who have registered for the First Closed Beta in Japan.

After which, the limited edition's retail version will be released on August 27 providing an early access to gamers before the game's official service launching across the 3 platforms by the last day of August.

For PS3 version of Dragon Dogma Online, it is said to run at a 1280×720 resolution up to 30fps and will be able to display up to 20 characters at a time within a 60m proximity. As for PS4 version, it is at 1920×1080 up to 60fps with 80 characters at 100m.

Moreover, the new screenshots released from Dragon Dogma Online reveal two new classes for the f2p title. The first class is called the Element Archer, roughly translated as having the ability to control arrows by the use of mental telepathic power. It also appears that he has infinite supply of arrows coming out of his right hand as well as healing his allies with what is called "Healing Maya."

As for the second class, the game features the typical Warrior who wears a thick armor for protection and owns the great power of attacks in pitting against enemies. These attacks are said to make a colossal damage versus gigantic monsters such as a cyclopes.

Dragon Dogma Online is slated to make its debut in Japan on PS4, PS3 and PC and at this point, there is no English version announced for the F2P game.
