Avril Lavigne almost died battling Lyme disease; Supports Special Olympics

After five months of being inactive in the light of music industry, Avril Lavigne finally admitted that she suffered from Lyme disease. Before she was diagnosed of the disease, she had recorded a song called 'Fly,' which she will release on the day of 'Special Olympics.'

The 30-year old rockstar Avril Lavigne battled Lyme disease for about five months, leaving her bedridden and helpless. Lyme disease is caused by a tick bite, where the 'victim' will suffer fatigue and severe headache. It was last spring that she was bitten by a tick.

Avril Lavigne said that she thought she was going to die already, as she has suffered so much when diagnosed with Lyme disease. Now that she has recovered, she vocally announced that she will participate in the coming 'Special Olympics World Games.'

The 'Special Olympics World Games' will happen on July 25, where Avril Lavigne will be joining some artists like Cody Simpson and Stevie Wonder. She will debut her single 'Fly' on the said event. She is even raising funds for the event. On Twitter, she wrote "If you don't have my song #Fly already get it here: https://smarturl.it/avrilfly ! Proceeds benefit @SpecialOlympics..."

Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne and husband Chad Kroeger proved the masses that they are still together, and that there is no divorce issue that is taking place or took place. Three weeks ago, Avril posted on Instagram a photo of her kissing Chad and wrote "Finished singing for the day. Thanks hubby for recording me."

Actually, the couple Avril and Chad will celebrate their second wedding anniversary this coming July 1. So, Avril will take a break first on her singing career.

Last 2013, Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger got married in Cannes which was gothic themed. Chad revealed that during their wedding, "I had goosebumps from head to toe and my eyes filled with tears. It's a moment I will never forget as long as I live."
