One of the much anticipated heroines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Captain Marvel and even though there have been no announcements yet, rumors and speculations floated as to the people who might fill in the list of the movie's cast and crew. A Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie seem to be brewing but Jurassic World actress Bryce Dallas Howard also expressed her interest in joining MCU.
There have been various names linked to the Captain Marvel role in the MCU, but among those names, one of the strongest and most famous is that of Mad Max: Fury Road actress Charlize Theron. Sure, Theron herself is really worth anticipating in the MCU, but turns out, Angelina Jolie is also being considered, not as a cast member, but as the director of the movie. Marvel is reportedly eyeing on Jolie to direct the film, and Theron has been one of the fan-favorites for the role, so the partnership between the two does not seem to be farfetched.
But aside from Theron and Jolie, actress Bryce Dallas Howard might also get into the MCU as she expressed her interest in playing Captain America. In an interview, Howard seems to be pretty enthusiastic about the idea of joining MCU.
"Those movies are so fantastic, because talk about just these incredibly drawn characters! That's the joy of the comics, is that you fall in love with these characters and it's who they are that carries you from journey to journey to journey. ... it's not just about set pieces. It's really about who these people are, and so, yes, I just would love to be in a Marvel film," she said.
Meanwhile, producer Kevin Feige revealed that they are currently talking to possible directors for the films Black Panther and Captain Marvel. He said that the announcement about the directors for the two upcoming movies will be made by the end of summer.
Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve are officially on board as writers for Captain Marvel. More details about the film are expected in the coming months. Captain Marvel is set to hit theaters in November 02, 2018.
