'Wayward Pines' Season 1 Episode 7 Spoilers: Ethan Discovers A Car Bomb; Season 2 Slated With New Cast

"Wayward Pines" Season 1 Episode 7 is entitled "Betrayal" and it will be about Ethan attempting to tell Theresa and Kate the real deal about their town but they won't be believing him. Also, a bomb will be discovered by him in his car and it remains to be unknown who tried to kill him.

In the last episode of "Wayward Pines," entitled "Choices," Kate and her husband Harold were very determined to know more about what is outside those fences and they might be the ones who planted the bomb on Ethan's car. They might have been very upset to know that Ethan is working with Dr. Jenkins thus the attempt to kill him, Latin Post reports.

In the previous episode, Ethan was given a tour by Dr. Jenkins and he already knows about the rest of the human race have already mutated into Abbies or Aberrations. Ethan then knew that Dr. Jenkings tried to save other people and placed them in cryo tubes then brought them to Wayward Pines wherein a new human race can flourish. Dr. Jenkins told Ethan that it is best for the people inhabiting Wayward Pines not to know the truth in order to save mankind.

In another report, AV Club says that "Wayward Pines" might just get a season 2 as the Fox series is being considered by the network to get another chance to bring in bigger number of viewers.

Related to this, "Wayward Pines" being renewed for another season might get another set of characters as cast members such as Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino, and Melissa Leo will reportedly be no longer part of the second season of the show, Slash Film shared. Basically, the idea for the show's second season will be the same plot and the same world but a whole new set of characters and actors playing the new roles.

"Wayward Pines" episode 7 entitled "Betrayal" will air on Thursday, July 2 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
