Stanley Lieber, best known as Stan Lee, a comic creator of some popular characters was hospitalized day before the premiere of 'Ant-Man.' But the 92-year old man amazingly made it to the premiere of the said movie like nothing had happened to him. Lee went to the red carpet event wearing a cool khaki trousers and a tan jacket.
Stan Lee, the co-creator of 'Iron Man,' the 'Hulk,' 'X-Men,' the 'Fantastic Four' and 'Spider-Man' was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from his home in Hollywood Hills last Sunday. There was no confirmed reason of the emergency situation, though according to reports, he was not feeling well that day.
According to dailymail.co.uk, Stan Lee also co-created 'Thor,' 'Galactus,' 'Daredevil,' 'The Avengers' and 'Doctor Strange.' He even had cameo roles in some of the live-action movies of his created characters.
Meanwhile, Stan Lee opposed the idea of changing Spider-Man to being gay or black. According to hollywoodlife.com, when E! News asked Lee if he was open in making a homosexual character, he said: "There's no reason not to. The only thing I don't like doing is changing the characters we already have. For example, I'd like Spider-Man to stay as he is, but I have no problem creating a superhero who's homosexual."
Stan Lee agreed to the terms of Sony and Marvel, indicating that Spider-Man should be Caucasian and Heterosexual. "I wouldn't mind, if Peter Parker had originally been black, a Latino, an Indian or anything else, that he stay that way. But we originally made him white. I don't see any reason to change that," Stan Lee added.
The great Stan Lee, who already had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said he is never against having superheroes from a different race or gender. "I have no problem with having a black [superhero,] a Latino one, a Chinese one, anything-the whole world is our playground, the whole world has heroes we can draw from. I'm just not too happy changing what has already been established," Stan Lee stated.
