Even though the production has already ended, a lot of things about the highly anticipated "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" continue to be unveiled. Recently, it was revealed that "Lost" actor Ken Leung, is slated to star in the upcoming seventh installment of the highest-grossing sci-fi franchise which is scheduled to premiere this Christmas.
To reduce the torment of waiting for a few more months for the seventh installment of the epic space opera series "Star Wars", new photos and details are being rolled out to its fans almost every week. Melty noted that just a few days ago, new stolen looks into the third generation "Star Wars" trilogy has been brought out to the public. Apart from the leaked photos of Han Solo from the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", a few details about Domhall Gleeson's role as The General has also been revealed.
The film might already have wrapped up its production, but its list of new cast members are still kept under the wraps. Fortunately, Star Wars 7 News was able to coax new information regarding the new faces that will be featured in the forthcoming movie, and it turned out that actor Ken Leung is one of them.
Leung is known for his regular role in the later seasons of "Lost". The 45-year-old actor is also noted to have a recurring role on the sci-fi crime drama "Person of Interest". Outside of TV, he was able to play minor roles on multiple movies such as Spike Lee's Inside Man, Brett Ratner's Red Dragon, and Steven Spielberg's A.I.: Artificial Intelligence.
The site claims that they have seen the actor portraying some sort of military officer in the film. It is predicted that he is playing a Rebel/Resistance General in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as indicated on his insignia, which resembles that of the five checkered dots that recognized generals in the former Rebel Alliance. Also, he was reportedly seen "wearing a brownish uniform with reddish belt" which allegedly matched to the description of the film's costume designer of the new resistance uniforms as "khakis and olives and some oranges - warmer colours.
If the reports are true, Leung will join the cast which includes Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver ("While We're Young", "Hungry Hearts"), Lupita Nyong'o ("12 Years a Slave", "Non-Stop"), Gwendoline Christie ("Game of Thrones"), Oscar Isaac ("Ex Machina", "A Most Violent Year"), Harrison Ford ("Age of Adeline", "Ender's Game"), Carrie Fisher("Wishful Thinking", "Fanboys"), Andy Serkis ("The Hobbit", "Rise of the Planet Apes"), and Peter Mayhew.
Helmed by JJ Abrams, "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" opens in cinemas on December 18.
