Fans have to wait for couple of months, as 'Elementary' Season 4 will premiere on November. But fans already knew some major spoilers for the upcoming season, especially the return of Sherlock Holmes father. This will be his second time to help his son during tough times. Moreover, Lucy Liu's Joan Watson becomes a legitimate partner for the whole season.
Just a recap, Sherlock Holmes, played by Johnny Lee Miller, has been miserable towards the end of 'Elementary' season 3. Lucy Liu's Joan Watson has announced that Holmes' dad will be paying a visit the city in order to help Holmes. This is second time to help his son in difficult times. Thus, season 4 will be a lot exciting than before.
Executive producer Rob Doherty described to Entertainment Weekly how Holmes' dad will be by saying, "Sherlock's dad, like Sherlock, is a complicated man ... When Sherlock has described him, he hasn't painted a picture of a very loving father... and yet it's worth noting this will be the second time he's taken steps to help his son during a difficult time."
Ultimately, his dad does care very much about his son. However, he has a very hard time showing some of these feelings. Gossip Herald adds that Holmes Sr. has been dubbed as a dangerously intelligent but flawed detective since he has been in the rehabilitation center. He is also the brain behind recruiting Watson to act as the sober buddy for his son as he does his work.
Meanwhile, Watson becomes a genuine partner in 'Elementary' Season 4. Doherty said to EW that there is no way Watson would revert from being a legitimate professional partner to a sobriety companion. Watson's work is now focused on operations in Sherlock's world, IBTimes reported.
What are your expectations for the upcoming season? Are you excited to meet, once again, Holmes' father in 'Elementary' Season 4?
