For the first time, behind-the-scenes of the upcoming sequel "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be expected at the Comic Conference International in San Diego starting this coming July 9 to 12. Fans can also get to see several characters from the past and present Star Wars movies.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will join the Comic Con this year as a way to promote the merchandise and cast of movies. Although no new trailer or any footage of the film will be featured, Comic Book reports that production footage will be shown for the first time. Director J.J. Abrams will be present in the event together with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. Several cast of the movie who have not divulged yet about their respective roles will also grace the event. As to who they will be, this remains to be a surprise.
A presentation for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is scheduled on Friday, July 10, reports Screen Rant. The new teaser however may come yet this fall.
HAN SOLO GOES SOLO
Meanwhile, Walt Disney Company announced that Han Solo will get to have his own stand alone film which will be released on May 25, 2018. According to The Telegraph, this will be the second Star Wars anthology. The said film will be created by the makers behind the "Lego" animated film. The first series is "Rogue One" which is starred by Oscar nominee and British actress Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything). Harrison Ford will still reprise the role of Han Solo who will also be seen in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". The actor injured his ankle while on the set of the film which caused a delay in filming. However, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will still be able to make it to its release date this coming December.
With everything left as teasers, fans could only wait until "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is finally awakened in theatres this Christmas.
