‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 3 Spoilers: Clark Gregg dishes Ward’s fate next season

By

"Agents of SHIELD" season 3 is about to take its fans on a darker ride while there seems to be no stopping with Brett Dalton's Ward downward spiral, as per Clark Gregg's revelation. Meanwhile, fans of the series can't wait to find out about the mystery behind Phil Coulson's new robot hand revealed by the show's new poster.

Comic Book Resources reported that Clark Gregg recently did an interview with Hey U Guys where he talked about the third season of "Agents of SHIELD" and dished some information about Agent Ward future in the show.

Gregg, Phil Coulson in the series, is aware about fans' conflicted feelings for Brett Dalton's character. Despite Ward's continues defiance and independence from Coulson's team, some fans are still hoping for his redemption one day that will ultimately lead to reconciliation with Chloe Bennet's Skye.

"Brett Dalton plays that guy with this kind of brokenhearted menace, where you kind of just keep rooting for him to find a way," says Gregg. "But it's hard to say. He really seems to be more psychotic than he realizes."

It seems Clark Gregg's character will be put under the spotlight once again next season after the reveal of the show's third season poster at the San Diego Comic-Con, reports International Business Times. The poster includes Phil Coulson and his agents in the comic-book-themed display created by artist Jim Cheung and colorist Romulo Fajardon Jr.

However, the main thing that caught everyone's attention is the new robotic left hand of Coulson since it has been cut off by Mack, played by Henry Simmons, during season 2's finale. In the world of Marvel, acquiring a new hand is not that impossible. Still, how the SHIELD Director got his is interesting enough to watch out for season 3.

We previously reported some details about the next season including the fate of Elizabeth Henstridge's Jemma Simmons on the ABC hit TV series. Executive producer Jeffrey Bell said teased about Simmons being alive, which is a great news for the Fitzsimmons shippers.

There are a lot of reasons to watch out for the new season of "Agents of SHIELD" as Phil Coulson just got a robotic hand. Fans who are still hoping for Ward's redemption might still disappointed this season while Fitzsimmons fans may see the resurrection of Jemma.

"Agents of SHIELD" season 3 premieres Tuesday, September 29 on ABC.
