It's been over a month since the season (or series) finale of "Community," completing six seasons in total. Now that the first part of the #SixSeasonsAndAMovie hashtag was completed, the loyal followers of the series are waiting for the fruition of the second part. News about the movie however, are still scarce and Dan Harmon has not confirmed anything about it yet.
After the season 6 finale aired early in June, Dan Harmon decided to take a break from Twitter and did not agree on any interview about it. He came back on Twitter however, a bit quicker than expected and addressed all the fans' reactions towards the finale.
He wrote: "I am back and I read every single one of your wonderful hugs re: the finale. I was very nervous about it and you guys are so kind. Thank you."
We previously reported that "Community" movie is more possible to happen than season 7. Most of the cast members are already moving on to their new projects even before the sixth season officially ended.
Joel McHale however, previously admitted that he would love to reunite with the whole cast and when he sat down in an interview for "Conan," reports The Wrap. McHale, who has played Jeff Winger for six seasons, is willing to do another season or take Greendale to theaters if Harmon will write a movie script.
Dan Harmon told Entertainment Weekly that Yahoo is in favour of the "Community" movie and actually wants to do it "immediately" but Harmon thinks he need more time before he can write a script.
"I told Yahoo, 'I can't think about writing a movie until I miss Community,'" he clearly said.
Fans of the beloved study group will just have to wait for an indefinite time until news about the movie comes up. Waiting has been an ongoing tradition for the fans of the show but it is quite a good thing that Joel McHale is willing to enter Greendale again and who knows maybe Dan Harmon is trying to get himself away from "Community" until he miss it enough to write a movie script.
