After her survival from Lyme disease and the dirty rumor of divorce, Avril Lavigne is now enjoying a second life. She is going to spend it in a new home. Avril and her husband Chad are finally saying goodbye to Canada as they are purchasing a massive mansion in Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The 7,888-square-foot family-sized mansion, situated on half an acre of land, is said to cost a whopping $5.4 million. It is a sight to be seen as it features six bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, along with plenty of over-the-top, luxurious touches; a dedicated candy bar, a 3-D home theater, an outdoor kitchen, a basketball court, and more.
It also boasts vaulted ceilings, a number of hand-carved fireplaces, four Juliet balconies, a dramatic double stair case, an ivy-covered outdoor terrace and an over-sized swimming pool, according to Variety.
The couple has spent most of their time together living in their native Canada since getting married in the South of France in July 2013.
30 year old Avril has been praising her husband, 40 year old Chad Kroeger. He has been with her all throughout her health condition despite the on and off rumors of the couple getting a divorce. Kroeger admitted that he was relieved when she went public following months of speculation of crisis in their marriage. He said: "Things are looking up and definitely getting better."
In her recent interview Avril said: "I think for me it's like a second chance at life." She added: "I want to go out there and truly do what I love. I'm excited for life after this."
