Fans will finally get the chance to see current interim Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor (18-2 MMA, 6-0 UFC) battle it out with reigning champion and fellow mixed martial arts titleholder Jose Aldo (25-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) early next year after the latter's prior withdrawal from the recent UFC 198 bout due to an alleged rib injury.
According to a report from Independent.ie, UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta's told US reporters that the title match will probably take place on January 2, 2016. However, the decision for the much anticipated meeting of the two featherweight division champions is not yet in stone as of writing. Reservations have been made in MGM in Las Vegas while everyone waits for the fight's confirmation.
