Until now, Microsoft is not passing on any confirmation when the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will officially exist. Yet the most rumoured potential release date is in the second half of 2016.
The Business Korea reports a large of amount of 256 GB SSDs based on Samsung's latest NVME technology has been ordered by Microsoft. The order is expected to ship in the second half of 2016.The report says that the power of SSDs like this can transfer data at 2 GB/s that is over three times the speed of the Surface Pro 3's 600 MB/s. This would certainly give a huge difference and a dramatic increase between the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4.
Master Herald claims that the Surface Pro 4 will be powered instead by a Broadwell chip while another article from Vinereport speculated that the Surface Pro 4 storage could come in 128GB, 256GB, and 500GB variants.
Conversely, News Every Day has contradicted that report and states that the Surface Pro 4 could be powered by the new Skylake processor from Intel, the successor to the Broadwell chips that is currently being utilized in most devices. In addition, the News Every day also said that a 16GB of RAM and a large storage space of 1 terrabyte will be equipped in the tablet.
These days, the Microsoft is being expected to showcase Windows 10 features for the upcoming Surface Pro 4. The reports say that Windows 10 will comprise Cortana, exclusive intelligent personal assistant software of Microsoft that helps users with their daily tasks. It was named after the artificial intelligence character from Xbox Exclusive 'Halo' video game franchise. The company may utilize Surface Pro 4 launch to support Windows 10.
The latest reports state that by the second half of 2016, 20 million unit shipments will be accomplished. It would be reasonable to expect that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will arrive before the holiday season, only if the Microsoft acquires all its hardware by the second half of next year. On the other hand, Reports say that by the second half of 2015, the new hardware could finally reach markets, in reality, the chances are far-off.
