Along with Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD', 'Agent Carter' crew and cast members have attended the San Diego Comic Con last Friday (July 11) to answer some questions from press for the upcoming Season 2. Actress Hayley Atwell also revealed that new antagonists are coming to the next season.
Jeph Loeb, the head of Television for Marvel, began by explaining that one of the challenges of 'Agent Carter' was casting an actor to play Jarvis, a popular character that has been portrayed in the movies by another actor. James D'Arcy who is set to play the character in the TV series has revealed that he is going to be on mission with Agent Peggy Carter in Season 2.
In a previous interview by Den Of Geek, actress Hayley Atwell confirmed the coming of the two characters for 'Agent Carter' season 2-Stark and Jarvis. She says, "Jarvis and Howard will be there with us again. Yeah, we can't have a show without those guys."
Additionally, 'Agent Carter' Season 2 will also see the return of Dominic Cooper's Howard and Enver Gjokaj's Daniel, and the addition of Chad Michael Murray.
When asked during the Q&A session at SDCC 2015 what she would like to see more of when 'Agent Carter' returns, Atwell says, "Definitely more love."
"I think more love for Peggy and Jarv," she continues. "Not between them necessarily - "
Moreover, many reports told that Hayley Atwell and James D'Arcy are very close during the said event. D'Arcy even stood directly behind her and answer 'Marvel's Agent Carter' Season 2 questions. Thus, the possibility of romantic episodes between the two might be possible.
Meanwhile, Hayley has confirmed that the new setting for 'Agent Carter' Season 2 could also mean new villains. She said, "The antagonists ... I will say ... exist in Marvel comics. A version of it. There's a group ... I can say this ... called the Secret Empire. And there's something called the Darkforce from the comic book universe. Blackout who was in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was created by Darkforce, it comes out of the Doctor Strange universe as well so that's going to show up."
'Agent Carter' season 2 will air during the midseason on ABC with new 10 episodes.
