Cameras will start rolling for "Fifty Shades Darker" after New Year as revealed by Dakota Johnson in a recent interview. The actress teased the press despite instruction from movie producer not to spill any details. Eloise Mumford will join Johnson as Anastasia Steele's roommate in the Fifty Shades of Grey Sequel.
PRODUCTION DATE
In a recent interview, Dakota Johnson was quoted by Movie News Guide as saying that the filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" is set on January 2016. That was the only detail about the movie's production the actress teased, saying she was not allowed to spill the beans. Eloise Mumford, who plays Kate Kavanagh, her roommate in the prequel, did not divulge any information even about the filming date.
Meanwhile, according to Realty Today, when asked why she thought Fifty Shades Darker's prequel "Fifty Shades of Grey" became a hit, Johnson said it could be because people wanted to see something that's usually private and there are characters that viewers could relate with. Johnson still could not believe she was part of the success gaining more fame instantly. It came to a point when she was overwhelmed that others made her feel that she belonged. Her life has suddenly changed but thinks it is something she should be thankful for.
PLOT
Meanwhile, in "Fifty Shades Darker", Christian Grey's rival will be introduced in the person of Jack Hyde. There is no confirmed info yet though on who will play the said role. Based on a report from Melty, Jack Hyde, also a businessman, hires Anastasia "Ana" Steele with the intention of seducing her. His character is doubtful that he will do everything even if it meant he would have to do things like blackmailing, just to get what he wants. So aside from Mr. Grey's business partner Mrs. Robinson and Grey's former submissive Leila Williams who will both threaten Ana, Jack Hyde will also be among the protagonists in the movie.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is coming to a theatre near you on February 10, 2017.
