Last June 30, the rising flagship smartphone Meizu MX5 has been finally launched in Beijing China. In the last couple of months, this flagship has been one of the most spoken-about Chinese smartphones.
The Meizu MX5 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080, 401PPI) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM. This flagship will be powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 (MT6795), 64-bit octa-core processor along with the PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics.
In addition, a 3,150mAh battery is also included for its features. Also, this phone boasts a mCharge (fast charging) feature, allowing charging this battery from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes stated by Meizu.
MX5 weighs just 149 grams in a full metal body with magnesium alloy frame. What's more, it features an mBack touch-sensitive home button that provides different functions based on press that has utilized feature from M2 as well. The mTouch 2.0 fingerprint recognition technology is an included feature also to recognize payments using mPay.
According to CNET, the MX5 looks very much like the iPhone 6, for it's clad is in aluminum and weighs in at 149 grams (5.3 ounces), that is not too heavy. Furthermore, the phone appears in four color variants: gray, gold, silver and black-silver.
Agreed that it very much look a lot like the iPhone, the MX5 also shares the same curved corners, though it doesn't have the curved glass. Lastly, it has the same beveled edges to the iPad Air too.
As for its camera, the device swanks a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS sensor, pixel size of 1.2 microns, laser auto focus that promises 0.2 seconds focus and 4K video recording.
On the other hand, its front-facing camera is at 5-megapixel.The Meizu MX5 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop overlaid with Flyme 4.5 UI software. Moreover, the flagship comes with support for dual SIM cards and 4G LTE.
The reports have shared that its 16 GB model will be worth of 1800 Yuan ($290) while the 32 GB model will cost 1999 Yuan ($322) and the last 64 GB variant will be offered for 2399 Yuan ($387).
