The Apple fans might tend to forget the existence of Ipod for not releasing a new model since 2012's 5th generation. Nevertheless, Apple just launched the new iPod Touch 6th Gen that gets the biggest upgrade.
The iPod Touch 6th Gen internals has been reportedly upgraded by Apple; however, the device has stuck in utilizing the same 4-inch Retina display and design. Also, the latest iPod touch has the same 64-bit Apple A8 processor that can also be found in the new iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus. The flagship also includes Apple's M8 motion coprocessor that makes tracking of steps and elevation possible.
Some reports say that the new Ipod touch acquires an 8MP iSight camera, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi. It was also reported for having fancy new colors: space gray, silver, gold, pink, and blue. In addition, Photo Supports - iPod Viewable" JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD with the Mac" only and PDF formats support.
On the other hand, the ijailbreak claims that the new iPod touch is now also available in red, bright pink and gold variations which are apart from its former silver and space gray colors. It also reported that the device has a 128GB storage option.
Apple seems to be equipping Apple Music with the new iPod Touch. As Greg Joswiak (Apple's vice president of iPhone, iPod, and iOS Product Marketing) first mentioned this in a statement regarding the new Apple devices.
The latest iPod touch model has a significant increase compared to the minor nano and shuffle changes, for this device features an internal model number of n78 that may be bumped to n102. In addition, the reports have speculated the iPod touch 6 to feature a 64-bit processor.
Captivatingly, iPod touch 6th Gen also acquired a brand new FaceTime HD camera that is capable of shooting in burst mode and an 8 megapixel rear shooter. The rear camera has a cinematic image stabilization and can shoot 1080p 30fps videos.
As for the pricing concerns, the device comes in four different load outs: 16GB for $199, 32GB for $249, 64GB for $299, or 128GB for $399.
