The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair is now one step closer to release as the screenplay has finally been completed. Characters from previous Narnia films might not appear as the movie will now focus on Pevensie kids' cousin, Eustace. Fans continue to wait for details regarding the film's cast and director.
It is progress indeed as writer David Magee tweeted that he has finally finished writing the screenplay for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair. "Completed the final draft of The Silver Chair today. I've had the immense pleasure to work on the project for over a year now. So fulfilling" said Magee's tweet. Although Magee's account on Twitter is private, Narnia Web said to have personally asked about the tweet's accuracy from the writer, which Magee later confirmed.
But even though the screenplay has finally been completed, the wait is still far from over as other writers will be needed next for the script. Aside from that, details are still pending for the director and actors for the movie.
After starring in the three previous Narnia films, the Pevensie children played by Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Mosely, and Anna Popplewell will not be returning for the upcoming movie, since the action will now be experienced by their cousin, Eustace Scrubb and his friend Jill Pole.
However, fans are now wondering as to the actor who will play the role of Eustace Scrubb since the events in the movie will be one year after the events of Voyage of the Dawn Treader in real life, and decades in the realm of Narnia. Reports also indicate that Will Poulter might not reprise his role anymore as he might be too old for it.
No exact release date has been announced yet for Chronicles of Narnia The Silver Chair, although IMDB indicated a 2016 release. More details about the movie are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
