Last Thursday, Advanced Micro Devices reported earnings a tad higher than management projections. The revenues report a US$1.09 billion with a cash position that is healthy and able to provide a free cash position.
With the current evaluation, AMD is now preparing itself for growth attuned to the market projections in the game development industry. This was developed despite the fact that many have proclaimed the death knell for PCs.
Currently, AMD is ahead of Intel in terms of next generation integration of CPU and GPU into a seamless working unit. This is now becoming the standard in the game development market, even though many think that PCs are becoming obsolete altogether.
For management, AMD has rehired Jim Leller and now they are to be joined by former development honcho in Apple Raja Koduri. These two are the best in the market today, primed to make AMD leap forward not just in gaming but in the computing world altogether.
