‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 3 Spoilers: Brett Dalton’s Ward to wear the Yellowjacket suit?

By

Marvel's "Agents of SHIELD" is about to enter its third season in two months and it sure is not going to be short of exciting. There's a possibility of the Secret Warriors formation with Chloe Bennet's Skye/Daisy Johnson on the lead to battle against Brett Dalton's Ward, who is now in-charge of Hydra and might even don the Yellowjacket suit from the movie "Ant-Man."

Brett Dalton has been a series regular since the first season of "Agents of SHIELD." Among all the other characters, he has become the most surprising since he always drops a major bomb in every season finale that never fails to shock the fans. In season 2's ultimate episode, Ward elected himself as the leader of Hydra, which will most likely make him the supervillain in season 3.

Dalton is aware that some fans of the hit ABC TV series are still hoping that his character will get his redemption but the actor admits that he is thrilled about Ward's character development throughout the show, Zap2it reports.

"I think it's exciting to take a character who in Season 1 was the muscle of the group and, in some ways, the one we knew the least about, and who seemed like he just had a bad attitude but was really a hard-working good guy underneath it all," Dalton says.

He then added, "To take that person, who was part of the original six, and to make him now the head of the evil organization that's now working against SHIELD, I think is pretty amazing."

Zap2it also speculated in another article that Ward could be the one who instructed Martin Donovan's Mitchell Carson to get the Yellowjacket suit in "Ant-Man" since a connection between the MCU and the hit ABC series has been palpable beginning "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

We previously reported that even Clark Gregg, Agent Coulson thinks that a Ward redemption is far from happening with the current storyline that "Agents of SHIELD" is following. Gregg even said that Ward could be more psychotic than he realizes.

Gregg also revealed some intel on the significance of the Secret Warriors formation in "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 that is obviously heavily connected with Hydra's threat, as per Christian Posts' report.

"One of the reasons why he's putting together the Secret Warriors [is], I feel like HYDRA always ... you cut off one head and others appear. I don't think we've heard the last from them," Gregg revealed.

"Agents of SHIELD" will be back for another season with a more evil Grant Ward as the new leader of Hydra. The possible "Ant-Man" connection to the series might see him wear the Yellowjacket suit as he goes against the Secret Warriors when the series returns to ABC on September 29.
