With such a strong presence embodied in the first game Mirror's Edge, EA now brings to the table, another installment that perhaps will catch fans with a different expectation, completely off guard. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is bound to come to fans and gamers all across the globe with a slightly bittersweet deal to look out for.
As of the moment, the hype behind Mirror's Edge: Catalyst makes only subtle peeps to anticipating audiences. However, pc gamer stated that EA provided an interesting chunk of information that may be valuable to the unforeseen story line that gamers are perhaps calling. The plot of Mirror's Edge: Catalyst will not be a continuity of the first game but a probable back story or prequel of the lead character, Faith.
The atmosphere of the game as discussed, will most likely revolve around free running action, wherein the protagonist Faith will have to complete missions, tasks, races and more. But despite such feats, the game will not contain gun-slinging action for the most part, mainly an open world exploration wherein the player can consistently sprint and jump through the course of the game. EA has disclosed this fact as of now.
To add a little more spice to things, EA has announced that there will be a Mirror's Edge Catalyst's Collector's Edition for the gaming aficionados interested in the merchandise. Primarily, the Collector's Edition is comprised of a beautiful 14-inch tall diorama of Faith that signifies her childhood and as an adult. IGN contains a photo of the said collection.
Painfully, on the other hand, the posh Mirror's Edge: Catalyst Collector's Edition costs an astounding $200. But that does not only suffice for the diorama featured. It also consists of an exclusive lithograph, steel book, with a temporary logo tattoo and Faith arm tattoo, a set of 10 concept pieces and a storage box. Pre-ordering of Mirror's Edge Catalyst is available to North America as of the moment, wherein the rest of the other countries is yet to be announced. February 26, 2016 is the release date aimed for and will be accessible through current gen hardware, Xbox One, and PS4.
