Hannibal Season 3 episode 8 will be a turning point episode for this season as it will signal the end of the series European arc and will usher in the fans and viewers of the show to the much-awaited Red Dragon arc.

In the promotional teaser videos for episode 8, the series has forwarded into the future where Dr. Hannibal Lecter is still pretty much held imprisoned in the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Meanwhile, a new serial killer by the name of the Tooth Fairy is on the loose and Will Graham will once again have to work with the FBI to capture this new killer.

The Hannibal series will finally be progressing along the storyline of the original novel which the series was based on. The Latin Post reports that the events that will transpire in episode 8 will be crucial in establishing the Red Dragon Arc for the remainder of the season. Will Graham's departure from the FBI and all things related to his past becomes the initial focal point for the arc.

Lecter, despite being held behind bars, will find a way to sabotage Graham's life starting off by reintroducing him to the FBI profession as Agent Jack Crawford once again seeks Will's help in nabbing another killer. However, it turns out that Will's expertise will not be of use in the arc since he will instead be used to aid in the incarceration of Dr. Lecter.

The new serial killer who will also be adding a different spin in the series will be played by Richard Armitage. His character Francis Dolarhyde will be dubbed as the Tooth Fairy due to his unique modus operandi or method of committing his murders. TV Line mentions that this serial killer will not just be committing murders, but full-on slaughters as he targets entire households.

Hannibal Season 3 Episode 8 is set to air on NBC this July 25.
