According to reports of two Greek newspapers on Saturday, about Eur3.2 billion was set aside to rescue Greece from its financial obligations, which came earlier than expected. Earlier this month, Greece received clearance from its international creditors and this enabled Greece to get a budget of approximately Eur2.8 billion or US$3.66 billion financial support.
The payment will be expected to be approved later this month. Other than the earlier mentioned financial aid, Greece will also be receiving an additional Eur6 billion from European Union/International Monetary Fund by May. Reports from Karhimerini and Ta Nea papers mentions that together with that money allotted for Greece, Athens will also be receiving Eur3.2 billion. And this allotted funding was granted to help the Athens' with its financial requirement that is needed for the second quarter of this year.
The European Central Bank, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund were the three investors who participated in reviewing the bailout plan of Greece. The three creditors ended their review early part of this month and their next expected inspection will be in June.
