Even one year before its release, Suicide Squad is heating things up when it comes to popularity as it has surpassed another DC's sure hit Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Some of the actors' net worth have also been revealed, and said to have pushed the budget twice higher.
Every fan of the DC Universe is especially stoked for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice given that both Superman and Batman are there, with Wonder Woman also joining the party. To add to that, the two heroes might also be clashing against each other.
But it now seems like, Batman v Superman is not the only source of excitement of the fans as Suicide Squad is also close and has reportedly surpassed Batman v Superman in terms of Youtube trailer views.
As of writing, Batman v Superman trailer has now garnered more than 36.4 million views, while Suicide Squad has garnered more than 38. 5 million. Suicide Squad's lead in terms of views can be considered pretty striking given that it was released 2 days after Batman v Superman's trailer was released.
Although Suicide Squad reportedly does not have as much popularity as the heroes, one notable member of the cast who is turning heads right now is Jared Leto's The Joker. Aside from that, it is also reportedly worth noting that the cast members do bear some resemblance to the original comics characters.
Although some of them also appear to have minor differences, just like how Harley Quinn in the comics wears more make up and more revealing clothes than in the movie, things seem to bode well for the upcoming movie.
Meanwhile, the budget for the movie has reportedly been revealed indicating that the initial budget for the movie was under $50 million. However, the cast's budget also said to have caused the budget to be doubled and is now at $100 million.
Some of the cast's net worth also seem to prove it as actor Will Smith who plays Deadshot has been reported to be one of the highest paid actors, with the net worth of $220 million while Leto, who plays Joker falls second in the cast with net worth of $40 million. Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne is also one of the cast's members who is indeed paid well with a net worth of $12 million.
Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and will hit theaters on August 05, 2016.
