Destiny 2.0 out in September ahead of 'The Taken King' DLC; Update to fine tune exotic weapons, stats

Destiny 2.0, the game's next update, is revealed to roll out ahead of The Taken King DLC release this coming September. Game developer Bungie has also provided the freshest details on what the gamers can look forward to in this latest update.

According to Express Co.UK, the 2.0 Update for Destiny is set to pave the launching of the game's next big expansion and fine tune exotic weapons which reportedly include Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Scout Rifles, Hand Cannons, Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers as well as weapon stats.

Bungie has confirmed this news as saying, "Unlike the last weapon balance update, we're taking this opportunity to address a few of our Exotic Weapons in tandem with the changes to the base weapon behavior.

"Fair warning: Some of these changes are intended to make you feel better while killing with the weapon, and some are intended to make you feel better while being killed by the weapon."

Destiny 2.0 will also bring changes on weapon stats in Bungie's efforts to create that more distinct experience of the title's most powerful guns. These reported changes are detailed as follows:

  • Reduced Base Weapon Stats - This means brand new Auto Rifles will have slightly less starting Stability, brand new Shotguns slightly less starting Range, etc. You still have lots of options to grow those stats as you spend time with a weapon
  • Stat Perk Tuning Pass - allows players to be able to spike a stat that reinforces their play style, but at a cost. Basically, if you want to spike a stat we are asking you to specialize the weapon for what that stat offers.
  • Stat Perk column on Talent Grids - Bungie wanted to ensure that if they were introducing Stat Perks that asked you to reduce a stat, it never forced you into doing that by placing that perk on an unavoidable node.

In earlier news, Bungie is investing a huge deal of effort in developing the next DLC for Destiny, The Taken King, confirmed to release September this year. As revealed from the recent leaks on the new patch circulating online, it will be adding unique set of levels and new key feature to discover for the gaming fans.

Also, the reported expansion will be bringing in subclasses for their characters in order to generate more uniqueness in combat and also feature Echo Chamber coop strike.

From the look of it, Destiny fans are definitely in for some dose of excitement with tons of changes that come with 2.0 update before the big expansion release of The Taken King DLC in September to Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3 consoles.
