The Twitter world was darkened by the Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift feud. Minaj took to the microblogging site her outrage when she learned that her video 'Anaconda' was not nominated for this year's Video Music Awards. Taylor Swift came in when she answered Nicki's series of tweets which she thought was aimed at her. On the other hand, Katy Perry also tweeted something about the raging Twitter feud between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
The Taylor Swift - Nicki Minaj virtual fight started last July 21, when Minaj took to Twitter how disgusted she was when she learned that her video 'Anaconda' was not nominated in this year's Video Music Awards. After a series of tweets from Nicki Minaj, this tweet of hers provoked Taylor Swift "If your video celebrates women with with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year"
Then after, Swift replied with "@NICKIMINAJ I've done nothing but love and support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.." With that, Nicki shot back with "Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. @taylorswift13"
Obvioulsy, Nicki Minaj was talking about MTV for not choosing 'Anaconda' or even her collaborated video with Beyonce 'Feeling Myself' to become on the list of Video of the Year Award. According to Washington Post, she implies that if a black woman makes a video that goes viral, she got no nomination. But if a white one makes a viral video, she wins. It's about racism and being unfair.
While the 'beef' between Minaj and Swift was going on, Katy Perry chimed in, writing on Twitter "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman..."
For quite a long time, it was known to everybody that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift has bad blood. They used to be good friends, but ended up as enemies.
