Android 5.1.1 L Pushing Updates for Samsung Galaxy S6: Bug Fixes, Device Improvements

Android 5.1.1 started updating last month for Samsung. Arrival of its first updates was spearheaded in Samsung models Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and Galaxy S5.

Live updates rolled out for Samsung within this month.Though the updates informed users, Galaxy users were fixated mostly on the company's live Android 5.1.1 roll out. While Samsung has made progress, there are still plenty of devices on Android 5.0.2 or lower models.

Samsung was reported not only updating Lollipop software but announced of pushing new updates of Android 5.1.1 in France and in the United States.

Gottabemobile detailed of the company's first push of Android 5.1.1 updates to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Both devices are to receive bug fixes for new improved updates. The said models remain on Android 5.1.1 but promised by the company for enhancements. Fixes view including battery improvements, a cocktailbar error fix, and "various bug fixes and device improvements." In general, it was to examine the handsets' to stabilize Android 5.1.1.

An update from SamMobile reported of Galaxy S6 getting its first software update after Android 5.1.1 which was tipped with a Twitter update of 230 MB that has appeared in France. The update revealed a carrying build number G920FXXU2BOG8, which was assumed of fixing and improving whatever problems encountered during the introduction processes of Android 5.1.1.

Battery life performance seems to be the usual complains that majority of Galaxy users' encounter. Primary reason for an unstable battery performance is S6's smaller battery size. Tech Times reported of S6's battery size of 2550mAh unlike its predecessor which had 2800mAh battery. The Korean tech company may have planned in reducing battery size to complement a slimmer phone, which places emphasis on design and functionality. Furthermore, the S6's battery is designed to have a battery irremovable, which has caused a huge disappointment to Samsung consumers.

Expected features from Android 5.1.1 will bring boost performance, a fix on existing bugs, setting enhancements on the camera and other updates.

Not all devices will get the update at a single time. The roll out of Android 5.1.1 to Samsung devices is said to come in phases. Devices such as Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4, and Note Edge are reported to receive the latest Android OS. The OS' estimated time of arrival will depend on the phone's carrier and on the model.
