Brian White joins ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 4 cast as Captain Dallas Patterson; Is Chief Boden out?

'Chicago Fire' season 4 has a new recruit that will play a major role in the upcoming events. Brian White, who also recurs role in ABC's 'Scandal' and 'Mistresses', has been casted to play Captain Dallas Patterson in season 4 of NBC's TV series. This news also speculates that Chief Boden may be replaced, but it does not seem that way.

NBC's TV series 'Chicago Fire' premieres its first season on October 13 with a bang. The anticipation comes from the fact that there will be new characters to look forward to. And the show's latest newbie is no other than Brian White, who is reported by CarterMatt to be one of the most sought-after people when it comes to TV gigs, has been casted.

Deadline has confirmed his casting by detailing his role. White is set to play a major role in Season 4 as the new captain of the squad on the 'Chicago Fire'. His character's name is Captain Dallas Patterson and someone who will be interacting with the firehouse for the entire season.

This casting, however, has opened up speculations that Captain Dallas is going to replace Chief Boden. But Cartermatt didn't think that way. It is said that a Chief is different from the Captain. Perhaps, the two are going to play a role in the story.

It was also added that his character seems to have different layers. He can be imposing but he can also be sweet and soft.

White will be joining the newbies of 'Chicago Fire' for Season 4 including the 'Vampire Diarie' alums Steven McQueen, who also united to 'TVD' actor Taylor Kinney.

Meanwhile, 'Chicago Fire' Season 4 premiere is titled "Let it Burn," which airs on October 13. The 4th season will answer Casey's whereabouts after he has gone in the previous season. Previous speculations said that he is kidnapped.
