‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ Updates: Last Free DLC Revealed, New Game Plus Mode

By

CD Projekt Red announced that the next DLC for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is a New Game Plus mode. The game developer revealed that it is set for released soon and it will be completely free.

The last free DLC for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is working on its way for release. For now, gamers are assured that the sixteenth downloadable content will be a "New Game+." According to Game Zone, CD Projekt Red made the announcement through Facebook that said: "New Game+, the final DLC, is on the way and, of course, it's completely FREE!" However, fans will have to wait a bit longer for the official release. "Stay tuned for more info regarding the release. It won't happen this week though - we need a little bit more time to finish it," according to the statement.

The last update will bring back to the game start once players have beaten it, but players will have all of their items and experience they have previously accumulated throughout the game. Throughout the updates, players experienced minor add-ons for the game such as new weapons and some character skins. Recently the game had some tweaks for the fifteenth DLC via Patch 1.07, according to Master Herald.

The "New Game+" is last of the 16 pieces of post-launch free downloadable content for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." According to the announcement last November, the 16 free DLCs are the company's way of giving back to its customers. Furthermore, it was a stand to counter the "steepy priced" paid DLC economy. "Because people just paid full price for our game," CD Projekt co-founder and joint CEO Marcin Iwiński told IGN. "We owe them."

"Yeah, we are making a statement," he continued. "We, as gamers, would like to be treated this way, 'Hey, give me free DLC.' It doesn't have to be something huge. And I'm saying we aren't giving out huge stuff, we aren't giving tens of hours of storyline here, we are giving small bits of pieces that don't cost a lot. And I think people would feel better about our game, and, so, they will enjoy the adventure even more."

Aside from the 16 free DLCs, CD Projekt Red also announced that two paid massive expansions will be released. "Heart of Stone" is scheduled for release this October, while its follow-up, "Blood & Wine" will be available in early 2016.
