Korean boyband EXO member Tao admits he was alone and no one has helped him in his struggle as an artist for the past four years. Meanwhile, SM Entertainment explains why they removed Tao's clip from YouTube.
Tao, 22, breaked his silence and revealed he had a conflict with record label SM entertainment who handles EXO. According to International Business Times, this is the reason why the singer opened a solo studio in China. He revealed that he had to do everything by himself while training with the said entertainment agency. He also missed his family. The Kpop star revealed this fighting back tears while promoting his first digital album that contained three songs entitled "TAO", "Yesterday" and "One Heart". He left the group to pursue a solo career and even trained choreography in the US.
Netizens meanwhile slammed Tao saying that it is normal for people to go through hardships to be able to succeed. He was also called a "psycho".
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment clarified that they had to remove a clip of Tao on YouTube. This is because Tao used their soundtrack as background music for his latest project.
Tao has not reacted yet on SM Entertainment's claim of copyright ownership. In another report of International Business Times, Tao says that everything he wants to say are in the lyrics of his new songs. He also thanked fans for their continued support.
According to Classicalite, Tao's name was also removed from EXO's Facebook fanpage and has had no connection to the band since May. Tao also removed the band's name from his bio. At that time, neither Tao nor SM Entertainment has given any official confirmation about Tao leaving the group. SM previously said that they are still working things out.
Aside from Tao, members Luhan and Kris have also left EXO.
