Lorde is giving free lunches to school children by taking part in the EAT MY LUNCH program by award-winning chef Michael Meredith.
In her recent activity post in Facebook, Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, known by her stage name Lorde, is encouraging everyone in New Zealand and all her fans to be a part of a good cause. In a heartfelt shoutout, Lorde said that it is something a little out of the ordinary but something that means a lot to her.
Lorde added that it is heartbreaking that 1 in 4 kids in Auckland (and New Zealand) is living in poverty and going to school without lunch. She was very pleased when she found out about Michael Meredith's EAT MY LUNCH and enthusiastically sponsored all the lunch needed for Te Papapa School in Auckland.
EAT MY LUNCH was started by Auckland woman Lisa King that works on a "buy-one give-one" basis which only costs $10 for both lunches. With the help of award-winning chef Michael Meredith, from upmarket Auckland restaurant Meredith's, Eat My Lunch will give a lunch to a child in need for every lunch that is bought from its website.
Grammy winning singer Lorde seldom posts her everyday whereabouts and personal life in her social media accounts but it is always sensible each time she does. On Wednesday last week, Lorde posted on Instagram a touching message for her boyfriend of 2 years James Lowe.
The 18 year old singer songwriter shared an intimate photo of herself and boyfriend James sitting in the back on a van while touring Australia to celebrate James' 26th birthday in 2014. They were photographed in an angle which showed a large black diamond ring on her wedding band finger.
She captioned it: "This is the third birthday I've been around for; the babies in this photo had only celebrated one! Dreamy eyes in a van on tour in Australia."
On the same day, Lorde also uploaded a video of herself singing It Wasn't Me by Shaggy to a sleeping James. In the background, she was heard giggling and she said in the post:
"I know you guys don't know as much about this dude as you do about me, but lemme just tell you, he falls asleep at parties and then I wake him up to make him be the other half in my shaggy duet, and he does it, so basically he's the best."
"There's no better analogy. And no better half. LOVE YOU, J!" She ended.
Blogger and photographer James Lowe and Lorde has been together for two years. The couple had received numerous bashing and uncountable negative opinions from fans and nonfans alike. Do you think their relationship is deep and strong to last longer? Post your thoughts in the comment box.
