In the midst of business tycoon Donald Trump's Presidential plans, a news about a sexual violation previously accused against him by his former wife Ivana has been brought up. Donald's top aide was quick to defend him but the Ms. Universe owner says he disagrees with the statements made.
HNGN reports that according to The Daily Beast, Ivana Trump once accused her ex-husband Donald of rape during a hearing of their divorce case in 1990. Ivana later clarified the word "rape" and used "sexually violated" instead as she did not want others to misinterpret her first accusation as something criminal. The report said that Donald got mad at Ivana after she recommended her plastic surgeon to reduce his bald spot which caused him pain. Because of this, Donald made love to her forcefully after ripping out portions of her hair.
Donald's top adviser and lawyer Michael Cohen defended his client wherein he stated that rape cannot happen during marriage. CNN reports that Cohen also threatened that he would destroy the The Daily Beast reporter's life who wrote the news article and sue him.
Donald however says Cohen was speaking for himself and not for him (Donald). Donald says Cohen was able to say those words because he was angry that the accusation was not true. The Miss USA owner also considered The Daily Beast's report a "joke". Cohen meanwhile has apologized for his statement.
Meanwhile, Ivana Trump has reacted to the The Daily Beast's report saying that it was without merit. She says she and Donald have been the best of friends. Ivana also supports her ex-husband's candidacy wishing him good luck. She also said that Donald would make a good President.
The Daily Beast reports that this is not the first time that Donald has been involved in controversies regarding the issue on rape. Just recently, he was criticized for making a statement that Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers.
Donald Trump has been married first to Ivana where he had three children who are now top officials of The Trump Organization. Donald is currently with his third wife Melania.
