For quite some time now, Rachel McAdams has been rumored about her upcoming role in Scott Derrickson's next project, Doctor Strange. And finally, she has confirmed the rumors.
For how many weeks, McAdams's name has been put in the spotlight that she would probably play the role of the night nurse in Marvel's Doctor Strange. The studio would have thought that McAdams is such a perfect fit for the role since she has experience a sexy vixen in the film. Rumor has it that Marvel Cinematic Universe is talking to her about a role in their next Marvel movie and now, McAdam's cracked her silence and finally speaks up that truthfully, Marvel is offering her Doctor Strange.She revealed her soon to be role in the Marvel's sequel in Los Angeles Times, but there wasn't a full statement about it. So Amy Kaufman, the journalist who interviewed the actress posted on her Twitter, saying, "It's still super- early days, and I don't know where it's gonna go- if it's gonna go anywhere at all."
Those who are knowledgeable enough about the roles in Marvel sequels in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would say that it isn't easy like cooking Grandma's stew. The Marvel studio not only will require you to work on a multi- picture deal, but also you need to allot your time and acting skills in other Marvel movies in which the character you are to portray will appear in any other films. This can take too long and it's a very complex process. So maybe that's why McAdams is still having second thoughts whether to accept the role or to dump it and find other projects that she could easily nail. Whether McAdams will agree on playing the role, Marvel has already set the release date of Doctor Strange which is in fall, 2016.
Even if the Marvel role is not yet confirmed, no one could ever dull McAdams's Hollywood spotlight since the actress is about to join as the newest cast of the latest season of True Detective which will be shown in HBO every Sunday and McAdams is set to portray the role of Sacha Pfeiffer, which is a writer. Though she will not play the role of a female detective, McAdams's character will still try to uncover the web of lies.
Although speculations still connect McAdams's name to Doctor Strange it's still not yet confirmed that she will really take on the role. Maybe one day, she will spill out the days so might as well wait for a few days or more for upcoming updates.
