There are a lot of online reports about the content and, more importantly, the release of "The Winds of Winter" but only few of these really came from George R. R. Martin or his team. This only means that no one outside Martin and his publishers actually knows when it is coming out.
Even though some loyal readers of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series are still constantly looking for any update about "The Winds of Winter," others are already getting exasperated by the speculations online and the continuous tease about the show's content and release date.
According to Inquistr, author George R. R. Martin has said in countless interviews that he is still not done writing the sixth book instalment but has cancelled some of his appointments to make room for writing.
The site also mentioned the speculations swirling online that "Winds" could possibly drop on every bookstore this year due to Martin's statement on his blog just recently.
The renowned author mentioned an upcoming trip in his Livejournal account but also wrote, "And while I will be travelling, my army on minions will be here at the old homestead, toiling in the paper mines."
This only sparked online talks that "Winds of Winters" only needs some finishing touches then it is good to go. But Inquistr also pointed out that the sixth book is not the only project that Martin is currently working on so jumping into conclusions will not do any good.
iDigital Times even suggested that while waiting for the release of the much-anticipated "A Song of Ice and Fire" sequel, readers should try to read other fantasy book series.
Previously we have reported the possible characters that might not see the end of "The Winds of Winter" based on the events on the last season of "Game of Thrones." We will keep on looking for updates regarding sixth book to keep you posted.
There is still no official release date for George R. R. Martin's "The Winds of Winter" so whether the book will drop this year or not is still uncertain. But the wait will surely be worth it when the book comes out.
