Pioneer Peruvian private equity firm Nexus Group has announced that it has closed its institutional fundraising activities for NG Capital Partners II. NG set the fund's hard cap at US$600 million, exceeding earlier projections of just US$500 million.
The Fund would invest primarily in Peru and can execute other investments in the Andean region.
The private equity firm also attracted funding commitments from international pension plans, sovereign wealth funds fund of funds, corporations and family offices all across the world. Approximately 26% of the funds raised have been committed from local and regional investors, 37% from Northern American investors, 21% from European investors and 16% from Middle East and Asian investors.
MVision Private Equity Advisers acted as global placement agents of the Fun with Shearman and Sterling as legal counsels and Ernst & Young serving as tax consultants in Peru for the Nexus Group.
The firm is led by Managing Partners Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor, Juan Carlos Vallejo and Alejandro Ponce.
