Action-filled zombie mayhem continues as Alice is set to be back for the last time in Resident Evil: The Final chapter. Recent reports suggest that she will not be having all the action to herself as Ali Carter has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Redfield.
According to Screenrant, Paul W.S. Anderson is set to write and direct the sixth instalment for the franchise which is also said to be the last. Milla Jovovich is set to come back as Alice and must stop Umbrella Corporation and the Red Queen.
But according to Comic Book Movie, Alice will not be fighting alone as actress Ali Larter has been confirmed to come back as Claire Redfield. Claire was also previously seen in the installments Resident Evil: Extinction, and Resident Evil: Afterlife, and she was last seen as a prisoner of the Umbrella Corporation along with her brother, Chris.
Given Claire's return, speculations have also surfaced that Wentworth Miller, who played the role of Chris might also return in the sequel, as reported by ISchoolGuide.
Aside from Miller, Sienna Guillory, Spencer Locke, Shawn Roberts, Li Bingbing, and Johann Urb are also being rumored to return in the upcoming sequel.
The franchise' lead actress, Jovovich, has always been generous in sharing new details about the movie in her social media accounts. According to the actress, production for the film is set to start soon in South Africa.
Jovovich has also recently posted pictures of Cape Town in her Instagram page with the most recent one being a bedroom overlooking the ocean which she captioned, "The mothership has landed. Goodnight from Cape Town!"
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is set to be produced by Anderson, Jeremy Bolt, and Robert Kulzer. It is set to hit theaters in January 27, 2017. More details about the sequel are expected to be released in the coming months.
