MMA Fighters Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz will be going to have their disciplinary hearing in front of Nevada Athletic Commission on August 13, 2015 in lieu with their steroid testing case.
Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz are sure to hear from Nevada Athletic Commission. Anderson Silva is being investigated for having been positive of steroid use on pre and post-fight with Nick Diaz in January. Nick Diaz, on the latter, will face allegations for marijuana metabolites usage for the third time, Bloodly Elbow shared in a report.
Anderson Silva is convinced that there were some inconsistencies about his drug tests that, if clarified, it will definitely clear his name and won't need to face drug-use allegations. In detailed report that MMA fighting shared, the former longtime UFC middleweight champion had flopped his pre-fight drug test for anabolic steroids Drostanolone and Androstane usage; and also failed his post-fight drug test for allegedly consuming Drostanolone. Though, Anderson Silva's camp are insisting that there are some inconsistencies about the findings, Nevada Athletic Commission's Bon Bennet is firmed that their findings are accurate.
Nick Diaz team, on the other hand, are asking if they can have the hearing rescheduled, Wrestling Inc. reported. The team hasn't released a statement regarding Nick Diaz's case. The UFC fighter was said to have consumed marijuana metabolites. Nevada Athletic Commission is looking into this issue deeply as it is already the third time that the UFC fighter will be facing these charges.
The hearing will go on first by Nevada Athletic Commission presenting their findings and will allow the fighters to defend and explain their side afterwards. Furthermore, if and when Nevada Athletic Commission find Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz guilty in their respective charges, the two fighters can face a long suspension and the result of their last fight might be overturned.
