"Person of Interest" Season 5 is reported to end after the show's upcoming season. However, the CBS science fiction crime drama TV series might be adapted by another network as per the statement of the show's creator.
In a report by Cross Map, "Person of Interest" Season 5 was renewed by CBS but only for 13 episodes. Reports then started to surface saying that this will be the last season that fans of the show will see ex- CIA agent John Reese and billionaire software engineer Harold Finch.
According to the publication, the series ordered to have just 13 episodes is an indication that CBS might axe the show as they did the same with the series "The Mentalist." Jonathan Nolan, "Person of Interest" creator, was at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con and he pointed out that the 13 episodes will be "kickass" and if they will be asked to extend it, they will be ready to tell more stories for the show and its characters.
Nolan added, "We're very, very proud of the show and very excited with the show we've been making. If it's the last season, no one is going to be disappointed with the story that we tell."
Co- showrunner Greg Plageman also said that there might be a different network where the series will be shown if Season 5 won't be the end of "Person of Interest," Yibada reported. He added that the writers and the producers will be delivering their all for the upcoming episodes of the show.
Meanwhile, a trailer and a spoiler has been released during the San Diego Comic Con and according to Movie News Guide, fans are treated to another explosive season. Jonathan Nolan said during the Comic Con that Season 5 might end badly for most of the characters but there might be some hope and possibility of redemption.
"Person of Interest" already started production this month and it is scheduled to air by mid-2016.
