LG said to Wired that they prioritize the security of their customers so they are taking such action. The LG representative added that they highly value their customers so they are sending a monthly OTA security update against the bug.
Samsung on the other hand, responded to a need of protecting their phone users by sending security update via an OTA every month for phone protection.
Carriers like US Sprint already sent OTA to their Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy Note Edge users, according to Android Geeks.
Google also replied to the urgency of the bug, so they said in the news that they already sent an OTA to their Nexus 4 to Nexus 10 and Nexus player users.
Other manufacturers such as HTC, Sony and Android One are also joining the advocacy of killing the bug by sending Stagefright patches to their customers.
According to NDTV, 95% out of 1 billion android devices worldwide are or can be victimized by the Stagefright bug. If the bug or virus entered the android handset through a malicious text message or multimedia message, hackers can easily get access on the phone's important files.
Everyone in the Android industry is making their involvement to stop the spread or kill Stagefright bug by rolling out such action. This is for the protection of their customers to whom they give great value.
